Kuwait in 1991 | Kuwait Today |
While the Free Kuwait Campaign was being waged, the Iraqi army was systematically pillaging and vandalizing Kuwaiti homes, businesses, and cultural and governmental institutions. This official destruction was perpetrated to deflate the morale of Kuwaitis and boost the morale of Iraqi troops by augmenting their military pay with booty.
